G.L.A.D. SUMMER 2016 CHARITY RECIPIENTS

Chuck Waggin Pet Food Pantry – Too many people are abandoning their pets because they can no longer afford to keep them. Their mission is to provide pet food and pet service referrals to keep pets and the families who love them together.  Chuck Waggin’ Pet Food Pantry envisions a world where:

The existence of hungry pets is abolished

Providers of pet care, health care and social services work hand in hand to promote human wellness

The human to animal bond is strengthened daily with respect and dignity

HALO Animal Rescue – HALO is an acronym that stands for Helping Animals Live On.  HALO Animal Rescue is a safety net for thousands of homeless dogs and cats each year. HALO is a no-kill facility, which means they never euthanize an animal because they have run out of room, but it also means they are limited in the animals they can take in at any given time. Their specialty is to provide a refuge to those pets who might otherwise be destroyed at other Valley shelters for reasons such as a treatable injury, illness, or those who are too scared or too young to go up for adoption at their time of arrival.
